In this election, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has fielded nine candidates whereas the opposition INDIA Block has fielded three candidates. BJP has fielded five candidates in this MLC election. Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena has fielded two candidates. Ajit Pawar's NCP has also fielded two candidates. Talking about INDIA Block, Congress has fielded one candidate. Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena UBT has also fielded a candidate while Sharad Pawar's NCP has not fielded its own candidate and has supported Jayant Patil of the Bharatiya Shetkari Kamgar Party.
