Trial run of 'Mohalla Bus' starts in Delhi, know everything about the fare and route

The Mohalla Bus Yojana aims to provide feeder bus services to Delhiites around their homes by 9-meter long electric buses. The Delhi government plans to introduce a total of 2,180 such buses by 2025, which will be specifically for areas with limited road width or congestion.
The Delhi government has started the trial of Mohalla bus services. The trial will be held on two routes for seven days. The route is from Pradhan Enclave Pushta to Majlis Park Metro Station and Akshardham Metro Station to Mayur Vihar Phase-3 Paper Market. Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot has said that the launch of Mohalla bus services is an important step towards increasing last mile connectivity in Delhi. These buses are designed to navigate areas with limited road width and high congestion. Through this trial, we are collecting necessary feedback from passengers based on their experience. Due to which the service of Mohalla buses will be expanded to ensure last mile connectivity in all areas of Delhi. The Mohalla bus will run on six battery packs with a total capacity of 196 kW, which will cover a range of more than 200 kilometers with 45 minutes of charging.
The buses have a capacity of 23 passenger seats and 13 standing passengers
He said that these 9 meter long Mohalla buses have 23 passenger seats and a standing capacity of 13 passengers. Mohalla buses are green in colour. 25 percent seats (6 seats) in Mohalla buses are pink in colour, which are reserved exclusively for women passengers. The Mohalla Bus Scheme aims to provide feeder bus services to Delhiites around their homes by 9 meter long electric buses. The maximum route length of these Mohalla buses is 10 km.
